Pathology of milia

• Blocked sebaceous glands present in 50% of neonates
• Firm white papules
• As opposed to yellow papules in sebaceous hyperplasia
• 1-2mm in diameter

Treatment of milia

• Gentle pressure
• Expressed using cutting edge needle
